Day 7 - All About Chelsea: A little bit posh & a little bit rowdy
Chelsea, watching Chelsea, in Chelsea!

Knocked off a few hours of work before we had a lovely FaceTime chat from the famous Ouston Sunday BBQ, an occasion we both miss greatly. Bill propped the laptop up on the BBQ (was hopefully off) so we got to see everyone - how lucky are we! We were so excited to see everyone but of course, extra stoked to see our little man Carter. When I jumped on the screen I copped a lovely big grin from him, much to Matt’s jealousy who just got an interested stare first off! But by the end of the call & time to get used to the screen, we both were blown kisses & given big waves from our little mate - crikey we miss him. After a great catch-up with family & a reminiscing but still happy chat between Matt & I on how much we miss everyone, we set off for our day in Chelsea.
Caught the 267 Bus to Hammersmith, then the 211 Bus to Chelsea Gardens. We wandered through a little nursery & Christmas gift shop attached to Chelsea Garden Cafe before sitting by the window for a gourmet hot chocolate & warm latte, lovely setting.
We then took a stroll down the famous Kings Road - only stopped into a few shops as we could barely afford an umbrella at most! I had a nice quick chat with Jacko on the phone, mostly bragging about cruising around Ted Lasso’s neck of the woods, before letting him get some sleep.
We walked down to Sloane Square near where Mum & I went to the gorgeous Chelsea Flower Show in June of 2019 which was such an amazing memory to share as the flower show had been something Mum & I had on our Bucket Lists to experience together & we did!!
Matt & I then sat at a little table on the footpath at Cote sipping a nice red & beer while fancy car spotting, can confirm the area of Chelsea is a very good place for that!
It was getting close to kick off so we cruised back to Chelsea Potter Pub to settle in for the match of the day - Chelsea FC vs Manchester City! It was already bustling with football fanatics (in England, surely not!) but we managed to snag a good table for the game. Ordered an awesome beef burger to accompany the 5-6 pints (apparently the only glass English pubs have) & enjoyed an edge-of-your-seat 4-4 draw! Must say it is quite an experience to watch your team, in their backyard, alongside their local supporters.
After doing a final cheers to a great game, we headed off to find our bus home before realising we were fairly inebriated… Minutes later we found ourselves dusting off a 22 pounds (yes pounds so about 45 dollars yikes!) cheeseburger meal from Five Guys. At the time it was soooo good & was worth it even in the AUD amount.
Another big day - this time I fell asleep on the bus & Matt kept watch for our stop.
