Lets take a visual journey through one of Queensland’s most photo-friendly destinations; Yeppoon!

In the list below, we have curated a collection of our TOP 5 WOW PHOTO LOCATIONS for you to explore during your next Capricorn Coast getaway.

PS. Read to the bottom and find a map with all these beautiful locations so you can make sure you know where to head for the best photo spot!

  1. Yeppoon Lagoon

The Yeppoon Lagoon exudes a captivating visual allure, earning its place as the crowning jewel of the Yeppoon foreshore precinct.

This standout feature of the region is bound to leave you & your followers utterly entranced. Nestled on the very edge of the beach, it boasts a vast 2500 square-meter resort-style pool, complete with an infinity edge and sunbaking spots.

2. The Singing Ship

Located in the village centre of Emu Park, the Singing Ship surveys the beautiful waters of Keppel Bay and the shadowy outline of the Keppel Islands.

This beautiful monument stands in honour of Captain James Cook's pioneering voyages. While taking in the view, listen out for the rhythmic melody of music through the sails. This location is also right beside the Anzac monument walk located along Emu Parks foreshore; a great experience for all visitors to take in the history while strolling the shore.

3. Wreck Point Scenic Lookout

For an unparalleled photographic adventure, make your way to the Wreck Point Scenic Lookout. Here, you'll be treated to expansive 360-degree views that stretch across the picturesque Capricorn Coast and Keppel Bay.

This spot exudes a coastal charm. Simply follow Matthew Flinders Drive, and you'll arrive at this gem nestled in Cooee Bay.

Ps. Cooee Bay Beach just around the corner is by far our favourite beach for a swim.

4. Stony Creek, Byfield State Forest

A short 20-minute drive from Yeppoon’s town centre will see the scenery of a beachside village change into a beautiful lush rainforest.

Byfield State Forest is a scenic haven, surrounded by streams & creeks lined with rainforests, towering peaks, tranquil pines, and age-old cycads. Within this sanctuary lies Stony Creek, a coveted oasis for swimming, camping & unwinding. And it's no mystery why...

5. Bluff Point Turtle Lookout

We’ve saved our favourite for last. We consider this a must-visit on your Capricorn Coast journey, the Bluff Point Turtle Lookout unveils sweeping views of the surrounding areas, not only of the Keppel Islands, but also a great view back along the coastline.

Along with this great view, you have the chance to experience a beautiful trail walk and natural flora to take in while seeking out a chance encounter with the native turtles, dolphins and other marine life surrounding this area. You'll find the trailhead for the Bluff Point circuit nestled at the southern tip of Kemp Beach.
